Combination of Moringa Oleifera Seed Powder and Iron Sulfate Heptahydrate Salt as Biopolymer Based Matrix for Application as Adsorbent for Odor Inhibition in Poultry Farms

A biopolymer based matrix of M. Oleifera Seed Powder (MOSP) and Ferrous Sulphate Heptahydrate (FSH) salt was formulated as adsorbent for odor inhibition in poultry farms. The characterized using FT-IR technique its performance NH4+ removal from aqueous solutions examined via sorption studies. result showed an excellent at 0.1 g sorbent dosage, pH 9 30 min agitation time. This indicates that the possess ion exchange property thus a suitable even low concentration environment. study reveals capacity adsorptive safe cost-effective method to be used ammoniacal control farms which may applicable other animal farm operations (AFOs).
